This higher education vocational training facility was developed as part of Bill Haslam’s Drive to 55 workforce initiative, which aims to equip more Tennesseans with the training and certifications needed to support the state’s growing economy.
The 49,000-square-foot facility sits on 17.8 acres at the corner of Brother Boulevard and Appling Road. The campus accommodates more than 180 students per term and emphasizes hands-on learning through specialized instructional labs, including Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment, Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool, HVAC Repair, and Welding. Additional spaces include traditional classrooms, community meeting areas, and administrative offices.
The building’s exterior reflects the advanced technology housed within, featuring clean lines, expansive glass, and exposed structural steel. Inside, large windows provide visibility into training areas, highlighting heavy equipment and medical manufacturing machinery generously provided by industry partners.
